RE: Golden Boy Phelps in Trouble Again
At least he owned up to it.
RE: Sports and a Pinch of Perspective
Good post. I agree I think we shouldn't hold them to a higher standard than we do ourselves just because they are much more of a public figure.
RE: Redskins Nation Favorite, Marcus Washington Released
"younger, cheaper, healthier..."

Join the club, my Chiefs have been doing that for what seems like an eternity. Hopefully the 'skins don't have the same result as the Chiefs did last year.

Speaking of LB's....whatever happened to Lavar Arrington. He was supposed to be the next Lawrence Taylor and then just vanished....
RE: How to fix baseball and sell it to a new generation
Salary cap is a must as well as anything to shorten the length of the games.
RE: What teams should go after Haynesworth?
My 'fan' side wants him as a Chief, in which we could use another DT to complement Glenn Dorsey. However, my 'brain' remembers him getting suspended for stomping on someone's head.....don't need another Larry Johnson on our team.
RE: Redskins land Haynesworth keep DeAngelo Hall
Good ole' moneybags Dan Snyder loves to be the first swingin' out-of-the-gates.
RE: Braylon Edwards on trading block?
I agree Jim, he does have some 'focus' issues. Not sure what changes in the course of a year from 2007 to 2008.....maybe just a lack of confidence.
RE: Hoosiers? NDSU Goes Dancing
You're right, any team (or anything for that matter) coming out of North Dakota on the national landscape is cause for a big story.
RE: Chiefs Announce New Defensive Coordinator
I agree, pivotal part of that scheme is the D-line. I don't know if Dorsey is a NT equipped to handle that scheme.
RE: You think success rubs off.....think again.
You're right, this isn't quite the Bill Walsh "tree". But I still hope Pioli can duplicate what they did in Atlanta a year ago.
RE: New TYSON Movie
I would have to put Michael Vick right up there.
RE: The comical irony of it all.....
Very true....I woke up this morning learning of Dan Snyder's involvement in this whole thing (shocker). Now the question for you is once Cutler is in D.C. are you going to be like the Denver fans and say "Well, he's a whiner, but he's our winer"? :)
RE: The Bengals get a Tank
No doubt about it....I still think Tank has talent. And that is talent that the Bengals can use.
RE: What have we learned?
Not a big hockey guy, but everything i'm hearing is that Ovechkin has taken the crown from the Crosby.
RE: Now you have two reasons to watch!
My favorite part of Ovechkin's game might be after he scores a goal. I don't know how many people actually try to break the glass with their own body.....after the goal.
RE: Jason Taylor Going Back To Miami
No kidding...I think I remember him playing in one game for the 'skins.
RE: Same show.......Different location
They will have the weight of the world on their hands. The word on the street was regardless of Favre, this was Childress' last year to go deep into the playoffs or else., now with Favre it has to be Super Bowl or bust.
RE: America's Team
ESPN will conjure up any debate or story to bring the NFL into media during the offseason. Exhibit A - Favre
RE: Public Enemy # 1
I don't really have a "style" so I give this movie a 7 out of 10...out of sheer disappointment. I expected a lot and got an above average movie. Some could call this movie the "Jimmie Rollins" of movies.

The bit about Dillenger walking into actual police stations is nuts!
RE: Ben Roethlisberger Accused of Sexual Assault
That is a good point about the lawyer's statement. Maybe that is part of the defense's strategy....

And yes - much THANKS to you for that sweet logo!
RE: Timothy Watches the Watchmen
I think most of america saw the trailers and said "oh look another comic movie, i'm not sure who the watchmen are but the trailer looks cool. Let's bring the kids...oh wait rated 'R'. There's probably a little violence there nothing too big. " And then they sat down, strapped in and about half-way through the movie every guy and his girlfriend/wife/buddies saw Dr. Manhattan and the little manhattan.....
RE: Finally!
Speaking of the Michael Vick saga, word is that their is interest from the Redskins organization. How would you feel about that?
RE: Chiefs sign 1st round DE - Tyson Jackson
- "This kid can play. I really like what he brings to the table."

I was at the Chiefs' camp yesterday. It was Jackson's first day their so he didn't play much. Just watching him through drills and he does have such a quicker burst off the ball than anyone else on the team. Everyone said he was a reach at #3 overall....I just hope Pioli knows what he's doing.
RE: Words of wisdom for a rookie
I truly understand having your family as part of your business. Seriously, though have the cousin do something else, do anything else for other than announce decisions you may make regarding your life in the NFL.
RE: Tennis is making a comeback in America
I'm also glad for Roddick. I thought we lost Roddick for good after the past few years. If he can maintain some consistency, then tennis can prosper globally with Nadal, Federer, and Roddick.
RE: Gee I just saw GI Joe! (worst blog title ever!)
The voice of optimism...I love it. Everybody trashed this movie but I like your take. I trust your criticism enough to still watch this despite Channing Tatum.
RE: Coach Haley drops Bowe to the bench
You're right, the scheduling guru's don't like to make it easy on the Chiefs. Guys like Bowe, need to have someone who isn't a players coach, and someone who will get in their face to get the most out of them. It seemed to work for Larry Fitgerald and Anquan Boldin.
RE: Something to look forward to...(movie preview list for the year)
Well, I do remember the first Tron and I must say i'm most excited about Tron legacy. Not sure what to make about Disney making this movie, but Jeff Bridges should be solid.
RE: Sleeping Beauties
I like the list. Sage may have to take an early exit out of the "heavy sleepers" list though. Favre's coming back baby!
RE: Why I'm (secretly) rooting for Donavan McNabb
With all the crap that he has put up with over the years of whether or not the organization wanted to keep him, its a pretty honorable thing that he still is such a team first guy. Kudos to McNabb.
RE: Sadly overlooked movies #1 (a romance and a gangster film?)
You forgot Dennis Hopper, who also plays in one of the greatest scenes in cinematic history (sicilian scene)...right up there with the "untouchables" baby on stairs scene, "resevoir dogs" cop scene, "scarface" (say hello....) scene, etc.

Hmmm....sounds like the makings of your next blog....
RE: Tiger's loss might be good for golf and good for himself
I loved Yang's attitude during all of this. Not only did he not back down to Tiger, but even on 18 up one stroke, he still went for the 'jugular' with one of the greatest clutch shots of all-time putting him with 10 ft. of the pin.
RE: Greatest (and Manliest) Action Movie Ever in the Works!?
What if "Stone Cold" was the lead?
RE: First ever T-Spot video! Tell your friends folks.
I made the credits...so honored.

In the words of the "common man", (with this video) "your either on something or onto something."
RE: Vikings desperation has many faces
As a chiefs fan living in Minneapolis, I would have to say the people here are already mapping the parade route after the Super Bowl. I, for one am not drinking the Kool-aid, but I would have to say Favre is still a better option than anything else they have. I will reserve my prediction until after the pre-season.
RE: Favre + Fantasy = Fail
I tell you what...I have two more drafts and i'm going for Favre. 6 TD's in game last year! And that was also on a run-heavy team before Favre got there. I'm woke up this morning and decided i'm in....i'm drinking the kool-aid baby! I woke up this morning a chiefs fan, but also currently living in the sports media center of the world....Favre, Mauer, Vikes, PGA Championship, Tiger, Yang. All of a sudden Minneapolis has something positive to talk about. Look around you!

From one of my favorite flicks "Almost Famous", and the written words of Cameron Crowe, "It's all happening".
RE: A Brandon Marshall trade could tip the balance of power in the east
He wants out. Daniels wants him out. What are they waiting for?
RE: Top Secret: Drafting Formula
Good post. I know a lot of people who swear by the PPR leagues. I haven't jumped on-board with this yet, I am a RB first guy. If WR's weren't such divas I might consider it.
RE: Hill to start for the 49ers in opener
Not sure why. All I know is that the boy turns the ball over about as much as Favre with a 1/3 of the TD's.
RE: A change (of scenery) will do them good
Living in the Minneapolis area, yet another positive reason for Favre coming here is for a bid at a new stadium. Even winning the NFL north last year the Vikings couldn't sell games out. Favre = more ticket sales. More tickets = a better chance at a new stadium which would help the Vikings stick around Minneapolis for at least another decade.
RE: A change (of scenery) will do them good
I think there's a very good chance of that happening.
RE: Just a cog in the machine
I agree with you to a point, but I still believe that the QB position is the most important position in all of team sports.
RE: A change (of scenery) will do them good
Maybe L.A.?
RE: District 9: Proof that We Will Never Have a Good Video Game Movie?
What about Tron? Not sure if that was a video game first then a movie???? Or vice-versa....
RE: We met the enemy and it was us
I wonder why they sold so many of those tickets to brokers for this game....
RE: Should the NFL get rid of Cheerleaders?
Before I even read this post, my answer is "NO".
RE: Randle El could be a cut victim as Redskins trim to 53
Dear Daniel Snyder,

Please cut Randle El. We desperately need him.

Sincerely,

The Chiefs
RE: All Saints Day is Coming at last!
I'm pumped....now if they'll just come out with a usual suspects II....wait a minute...nevermind.
RE: Smart Money: Auction Draft Budget
I love auction leagues. My favorite part of the auction: driving up the cost by bidding on a player then bowing out of the race....especially for the homers in the room.....it's like fish in a barrel.
RE: Can't Say No To Santonio
Yep, Holmes was a stud last night. My question is why isn't fast Willie 'P' getting more looks?
RE: TSD Week #1 Picks
I like everything but the Miami pick....gutsy call.
RE: Where does your team rank on Forbes 'List of Most Valuable NFL Teams'?
Sierra - good point. However, you must keep in mind the tangible items that teams make money on; concessions, tickets, merchandise. Also sponsorships, TV contracts, etc.

Jim - You crack me up....with you being a 'skins fan I can't sense any resentment at all towards "Jerruh Jones" and the 'boys in your comment! LOL!

Ryan - I couldn't have said it any better myself.
RE: T Spot Video 2: When You Have to Go!
Nice video! Runpee.com is brilliant...now if they can start sending me a text about the pee time a half hour before the movie, then we are talking "Gold Jerry, it's gold!"
RE: Solomon Kane: Because Everybody Loves Cool Trailers!
Yeah, I would have to say the trailer looks stellar, but then again, so did Waterworld's.
RE: TSD Gameplan: Redskins at Giants
Malcom Kelly? Smells like a fantasy sleeper.
RE: KC @ Baltimore 'Live' Blog
Sierra - you're right the only thing worse than the Chiefs losing in the last 2 minutes of this potential upset would have been if this game was on Monday night. On top of the constant stomach punch I felt from this game, I would have to have endured the Jaworski 'love fest' for Flacco, which is more than any man should have to handle.
RE: TSD Week #1 Awards
Maybe, in this case the "where did my game go" award she be renamed the "where did my job go award". The clock is ticking for good 'ole Delhomme.
RE: TSD Week #1 Awards
I think their success last year was primarily due to their defense and running game. Delhomme has been inconsistent at best over the past 4 years. Now he's hitting the wrong side of the hill on top of his inconsistency. If they had a backup that anyone knew of he may not be playing next week.
RE: Time Traveling Today: Brett Favre
Well, you know what they say....keep your friends close and your enemies closer. In this case, keep your enemy in your locker room, pay him $24 million and maybe give him a Super Bowl ring.
RE: TSD Week #2 Picks
Like the pics....I think the Ravens Chargers game will be the game of the week. Although, I am looking at the Jets for my upset special this week.
RE: T-Spot First Annual Summer Awards 2009!
"Chris Pine as Captain Kirk is amazing in part because he makes you forget about William Shatner."

This is the one major disagreement I have with you. No man will ever forget about William Shatner. Shatner is the Elvis of screen and cinema.
RE: Week 2 Fantasy News
Chris Johnson has now entered my top 5 list of "Players' houses that I will T.P.". Nothing worse than scoring more points that everyone else in your league except for the guy that you played.
RE: TSD's NFL Week #2 Awards
Those damn Chiefs!! I hate the Raiders about as much as you hate "Jeruh" Jones. What makes it worse is that the Chiefs game should have went to OT, had Cassel not thrown a 3 yard pass when you needed 8 to get in the endzone with no timeouts at the end of the first half.
RE: Time Traveling Today: Chad Ochocinco
Well...at least we know nobody will be pouring a beer on him this time.
RE: TSD Week #3 Picks Plus!
Hey don't feel bad. This is year two of my wife and I in a pick 'em pool. She's only 1 point behind me in the standings this year, and she beat me pretty decidedly last year!
RE: Realization Time for Redskins Nation
Dear Turner Sports Desk,

The Redskins look solid. You should be proud of your team.

Sincerely,

Chiefs fans
RE: TSD-NFL Week #3 Awards
One of these days I am going to figure out what "PWNED" means....
RE: Week 3: What Could Have Been...
You must have forgot to mention that you picked the Lions to win.
RE: What You Should Strongly Consider Watching Right Now (and what you should avoid)
You always know how to talk me out of going to a movie....surrogates will have to wait 'till DVD. Haven't seen anything on Pandorum yet....
RE: TSD-NFL Week #4 Picks
It hurts me deeply that you would pick the Giants......aahhh just kidding. It's going to be an ugly game as part of an uglier season. Giants - 17.
RE: Time Traveling Today: Mike Vick
Dear Real Fantasy,

I think you're a bit off-base here. I think Michael Vick is a well-adjusted, well-rounded person, as well as a tremendous role model.

Sincerely,

Michael Jackson
RE: Thigpen traded to the Dolphins
Yes, but the Dolphins are only 9 months removed from a division winning season. He got a much better break than Matt Cassel did.
RE: The G-Man is here!
Welcome G-Man! Glad to have you apart of SPN!

RE: Quick Hitters: Week 4
I didn't get a chance to read this over the weekend, but wish I did. Good call on Romo, Bowe. Great call on Sims-Walker!
RE: Jersey product takes Tigers season into his hands.
If the Tigers wanted bad enough they would have already taken it. In what could be the last game ever for the Twins in the Dome, the crowd will not allow the Twins to lose this game.
RE: NFL Week 4: Lock 'Em & Sock 'Em
Nice work on the upset!
RE: Introducing Jason Campbell the playmaker
I heard the first half was rough for Campbell, but I'm glad he finally found some confidence in himself. Moss and Cooley are too good not to be utilized.
RE: I had a terrible dream last night that the Chiefs were the worst team in football....
Jim - In some way that does make me feel a little better.

Gregger - Thanks for reminding me.....that was the first game back after injury for Cassel, and a little part of me wants to still hang onto the fact that the Chiefs have to be a better team than that monstrosity in Oakland, but you may be right. I thought we hit rock-bottom last year, but I could be wrong...its happened before.
RE: TSD Week #4 NFL Awards
Vikings looked good last night. I very close to saying that the NFC might be the stronger conference this year.
RE: Teams receive wide out help....
It's one heck of a coincidence that the day after the news breaks about Braylon punching one of Lebron James' 130 lb. friends does the Browns ship him out to New York.
RE: Week 4 Fantasy Scores
Note to Adrian Peterson - QUIT FUMBLING THE BALL.
RE: What You Should Strongly Consider Watching (Oct 6, 2009)
I'm disappointed that you're disappointed in 'Couples Retreat'. Why am I disappointed you ask? Because on this list of movies, 'Couples Retreat' will most likely be the only movie I can get the wife to go see.
RE: CC Sabathia, Derek Jeter, A-Rod, and Kate Hudson??? ALDS Game 1 recap
Good post! As much as I can't stand the Yankees, I am glad A-Rod was able to have a positive thing happen to him in October. It's crazy what a hot celebrity and the release of 8 years of steroid burden can do to a man.
RE: Time Traveling Today: Michael Crabtree
Are you sure your not getting Crabtree confused with T.O.?
RE: ALDS Game 2 Preview: Yankees vs Twins
Doesn't look good for the Twins tonight considering they haven't won in the bronx since 2007.
RE: New York Giants Week 5 preview
No need for Eli to even come to the stadium for this one. The G-Men put Warren Sapp in at quarterback and still win by two touchdowns.
RE: TSD Week #5 NFL Picks
"Look on the bright side Scuba...the more you lose the better your pick"

That's probably true....we will most likely have another top 5 pick. However, I do smell an upset in Arrowhead on Sunday.
RE: TSD Week #5 NFL Awards
Denver is the Atlanta Falcons of last year. And speaking of Atlanta, I think they finally woke up!
RE: Dre Bly cries and Tom Cable MAY be in trouble. Drop your thoughts.
Brady Quinn's potential teams:

Oakland
Buffalo
Washington
RE: Quick Fixes: The Washington Redskins
I didn't watch the game last week, but a talent such as Chris Cooley should be utilized enough to have at least one catch.
RE: Is it time to bench Larry Johnson?
As hard as it is to watch the Chiefs this year, they have to win eventually. This week might be the week.....of course I said that last week as well.
RE: Zombieland: Possibly the Happiest Zombie Movie Ever
"I'd like to give special attention to Emma Stone"

I'll bet you would.
RE: The Home (video) Front: State of Play
Definitely not theater worthy, but a solid rental.
RE: The Back Porch podcast
Good Podcast! Have you ever tried BlogTalkRadio.com? Thinking about my own podcast and want to know the difference between podbean and blogtalkradio.
RE: ALCS Preview: Yankees vs Angels
What is sure to be a great series, I think the Angels bats are too much for the Yankees rotation.
RE: Quick Hitters Week 6
Unfortunately, I think you're right about Portis. The Chiefs D is horrible and I think it's the 'skins running game that will flourish.
RE: Week 6 Live Blog: Kansas City at Washington
Jim - I'm sorry you were subjected to ugliness of that magnitude.

Gregg - As a wise man once said, "you're either on something, or your onto something."
RE: Tough weekend for area football teams (Rutgers, Giants, Jets)
That Jets loss was rough. The 'golden boy' Franchez or Sanchise or whatever they're calling him, didn't look so "Sanchise" like yesterday.
RE: Andy Pettitte has chance at history in Game 3
Living in Twins country and being a lifelong Royals fan, I have grown to hate all-things Yankees. However, I do have tremendous respect for Pettitte.
RE: Washington's break up strategy with Zorn, fall of the Sanchise, and Lebron got the swine.
If Franchez can't play in cold temps what is he doing in NY? I heard that excuse from a lot of media yesterday as to why he threw 5 picks.
When you're running, sweating for 3 hours in 30-40 degree temps, it feels more like 60 degrees. If that weather really affected the way he played yesterday, then he is a bigger 'sally' than we originally thought he was after did his Zoolander shoot for GQ.
RE: Jimmy Johnson and Russ Grimm
I would love to see JJ come back to coaching, but he just looks too comfortable in front of the camera.
RE: Spurrier and the tricky tape and Jermaine O'Neal's return to luke warmness.
....and Jeff Reed can get "back" to being a Christian and then Vince Young can get "back" to being a "Hall of Famer".
RE: CC and A-Rod put Angels on brink of elimination
CC is just a beast.
RE: Some days you just don't get the whole morning rountine in, right Manny?
LOL!!! Good post.
RE: Former Rutgers star Ray Rice having All-Pro year
Rice is an animal. He should have been the starter from the beginning.
RE: TSD Week #7 NFL Picks
Here's what i'm going with:

1. GB
2. Houston
3. KC (No...no bias there at all)
4. Colts
5. Pats
6. Vikes
7. Carolina
8. Jets
9. Bengals
10. ATL
11. Saints
12. Giants
13. Eagles

Tiebreaker: 28 - 10
RE: TSD Week #7 NFL Picks
Alright, let's try this again:

1. GB
2. Houston
3. KC (Upset special)
4. Colts
5. Pats (Cupcake)
6. Vikes
7. Carolina
8. Jets
9. Bengals
10. ATL (Tiebreaker, 31-28)
11. Saints
12. Giants
13. Eagles

RE: The Back Porch podcast!
Can't get the Podbean player to play.
RE: The long trip home, Bob Griese talks Nascar, and more Sunday thoughts.
Super Tecmo Bowl....there is no substitute.
RE: World Series Poll & Schedule
Just a heads up - I can't link back to the "results".
RE: Weekly Awards and Pick Standings
I think I should have 8 wins plus the tiebreaker. Does that make ten?
RE: Weekly Awards and Pick Standings
Corey G - Joe Montana!
RE: Long Time No See
Interesting that you should write about Beanie Wells and Calvin Johnson.....it seems that I just traded Hightower (handcuff for Wells), Jermichael Finley, and T.O for Calvin Johnson, and Visanthe Shiancoe. What are your thoughts on this trade?
RE: Larry Johnson plays the role of speed-o guy and NBA predictions
#9 - TNT will spend millions of dollars promoting shows during NBA games that, not only will you never watch...

- You forgot about Tyler Perry's House of Payne
RE: Long Time No See
It's funny you say that because I am still in first place in that league. What's crazy is that my commissioner in that league said pretty much the same thing about my team right after we drafted....
RE: Mike Leach is anti "little fat girlfriends" and Cleveland faces the classic case of the late bloomer.
I saw the clip of Mike Leach. He's obviously mad about something. The confusing part is whether he's more mad about his players listening to their girlfriends or is it that their girlfriends are "fat" and "little"?
RE: Not so inevitable after all
My "Phillies in 7" pick is looking better and better.
RE: Cliff Lee makes Yanks look foolish
It's funny because with all of that 'swagger' and all of the tradition the Yankees have going into this series, I think Rollins set the tone with that comment.
RE: TSD week #8 NFL Pick Challenge
1. Ravens
2. Texans
3. Bears
4. Cowboys
5. Jets (tie break: Jets 17 - Dolphins 10)
6. Colts
7. Eagles
8. Lions
9. Chargers (Cupcake game)
10. Titans
11. Vikings (Upset special)
12. Cardinals
13. Saints
RE: Chiefs Suspend Johnson Two Weeks
I wouldn't keep him, I would do exactly what it sounds like they're going to do....buy him out and say "good riddance".
RE: Time Traveling Today: New York Jets Rushing Attack
It's guys like Greene that make it a nightmare for fantasy owners. You have the backup RB that has more potential, but then you've got Jones who is still solid. So, now you're splitting carries, and now you're hoping someone gets injured, because Greene is now taking up space on your bench....just a headache.
RE: Yankees tie series as Burnett dominates
Burnett just earned his contract.
RE: Quick Hitters Week 8
I see Ted Thompson mandating a shutdown of Favre tomorrow. Hence, I see AP running all over Green Bay....at least that's what my fantasy team is hoping for.
RE: Deputy Shaq is on the prowl and more thoughts from the Back Porch
Dr. Perky?! I remember Dr. Thunder...but no Dr. Perky. I feel a Wal-Mart brand viagara joke coming here......but I got nothin'.
RE: Manu mans up, Starbury gets the boot, and other Halloween fallout.
Manu just made Mr. Miyagi proud.
RE: Hey Philly! We dont quit either!
I had a comment the other day about Rollins setting the tone with that comment....my Phillies in 7 pick isn't looking so good now!
RE: TSD Week #8 NFL Awards and Pick Winners
Thank you, thank you everybody! I really couldn't accept this award without first thanking Vegas. Thank you Las Vegas for making a far superior team in the MInnesota Vikings the underdog in Green Bay. If only I was a betting man, I could have made a good chunk of change on Sunday.
RE: Week 9 Questions
In my league we only get 6 players on our bench. Is Ryan Moats worth the pickup?
RE: A memory, a thought, and a prayer of thanksgiving
The 30 min suspension is ridiculous....why even punish him? Basically, Urban is telling his team it's cool to permanently disfigure the other teams players just don't let me catch you skipping any team meetings.
RE: Fans have their say and guns are dangerous.
It's only fitting for Larry Johnson in KC. LJ was fortunate enough to have Dick Vermeil give him a career and now its the fans that might end it. Love it. Where's the Nigerian Nightmare when you need him?
RE: TSD-NFL Week #9 Pick Challenge
1. Atlanta (cupcake game)
2. Arizona
3. Cincinnati (Upset Special)
4. Indy (tie break score 31 - 21)
5. KC
6. Pats (AFC rivalry game)
7. GB
8. Saints (Game of the week)
9. Seattle
10. Giants
11. San Fran
12. Philly (NFC Rivalry game)
13. Pitt
RE: My once in a lifetime experience at the World Series
Can you say "hooked-up"
RE: Sammy goes MJ and we owe a couple of teams a big Thank you.
I love Sosa's new look.

Sincerely,

Wayne Brady
RE: Brandon Spikes adds a new twist to punishments and other thoughts from the Porch!
What about punishing the players right after the play? Let's say you fumble the ball on the goal line...you have to wear one of Craig Sager's suits for the next series on the bench...could be a little more effective.
RE: Quick Hitters: Week 9
Great call on Gore, and Moss, and Kurt Wa...uhhhh nevermind.
RE: What You Should Strongly Consider Watching
Bummed about "Men who stare at goats", haven't seen it yet, but I want it to be in my top 25. Like you said it sounds funny, but the critics are ripping it.
RE: October Review, November Preview
Nice work on your first month!! Keep doing what your doing!!
RE: Tom Cable just needs a friend and the Wolverines AD gets rough with some students.
Lienart brought that on himself. He should of spent less time in the hot tub and more time in the film room and might still be starting.

RE: Week 10 Questions
Your thoughts on Donald Brown in a keeper league...
RE: Double G Sports wins the TSD week #9 NFL Challenge!
Next season we need to do this starting week 1. We will have to arrange for prizes as well!
RE: TSD Week #10 NFL Challenge (Game Thursday)
1. 49ers
2. Falcons
3. Dolphins
4. Vikings (cupcake)
5. Jets
6. Steelers
7. Saints
8. Titans
9. Broncos
10. Chiefs (upset special)
11. Cardinals (NFC rivalry game)
12. Cowboys (28-24)
13. Chargers
14. Colts
15. Ravens (AFC rivalry game)
RE: Larry Johnson & Conway Twitty tapes for sale!
Wait....you mean that nobody wants to sign a soon-to-be 30-year old RB, that has only had two good years out of 7, with a 2.7 ypc, who abuses women, and is past his prime? Somewhere Al Davis just got giddy.
RE: Todd Haley's Choice: Kolby Smith?
You do have a point there. I think if it was up to Haley Brodie Croyle would have been the starter about 4 weeks ago. Then again what do you expect from a first time NFL head coach.
RE: What's in the Box?
Good post...I am a Donnie Darko fan, but probably not as much as most people. Not a big Cameron Diaz fan...so it will be a stretch to watch this in theater. Might have to wait for DVD.
RE: 58 Minutes
I was very surprised by Betts' big day. Nice win for the 'skins!
RE: UT players threaten to put your eye out, Lebron's jersey thoughts, and more.
It's ok to threaten someone's life and steal from them as long as you only have a pretend-gun right?

Morons.
RE: Bud Adams gets excited and offensive and TO slept on his hands wrong
Not sure if I heard this right, but I think Roger Goodell was in the suite with Bud Adams when the 'bird' incident went down. Now that would be hilarious.
RE: Belichick's gamble made perfect sense
What I thought was interesting about this call, was how confident Tom Brady is in whatever Belichik does. In the press conference after the game, Brady didn't question his play call even for a second.
RE: TSD Week #11 NFL Picks Challenge (Game Thursday)
Ahhhh...I wasn't able to make my picks yesterday. Any luck I can pass on the Carolina game? For the record I would have got it wrong anyway!
RE: Just Like Old Times, Nebraska Hosts K-State for Trip to Big 12 Title Game
I'm in the same boat...I don't think K State has much of a chance.
RE: KC's Bowe Show on Hiatus, WR Suspended for Four Games
I agree...I don't see the Chiefs releasing Bowe. It was his agent who said he was taking a diuretic....so who know if that's the truth. It will be interesting to see how Haley handles this situation after his suspension is over.
RE: NFC Least?
Just when I thought the NFC was a worthy opponent of the AFC, then the NFC East layed-an-egg. Now it seems the only teams worth mentioning in the NFC are the Saints and Vikings.
RE: Bud sends an apology, Les Miles hits the black button, and Shaq goes to the Police Academy.
Nothing says i'm sorry like shameless indirect self-promotion.
RE: Director's Cuts: Sometimes They are the Only Way to Go
Glad you brought this up....I have the "extended director's cut" of American Gangster. Supposedly it has an "Alternate ending". I have watched it a few times and really haven't seen any difference between the theater release and this.
RE: Still a Mystery: Chiefs Head Coach Won’t Start Linebacker Derrick Johnson
I'm not sure what his beef is either. Work ethic or not, when Johnson is in the game he makes plays....period.
RE: The Sanchez giveaway and more Week 11 Thoughts
Chris Johnson would definitely be a contender in the Boyd Tinsley look-a-like contest along with Mike Mckenzie and Al Harris.
RE: Chiefs Winning: Charles Is in Charge, But Cassel Is Still The Key
Good post. It's interesting to me that we lost Larry Johnson, Dwayne Bowe, Mike Vrabel and we are able to put together wins in the last two games.

Good for Cassel in not giving up last game and good for Haley for keeping his composure and not strangeling any of the Chiefs on the sidelines.
RE: TSD Week #11 NFL Picks Challenge (Game Thursday)
Son of a..... If you can you should do your picks again for this week. Last week was a bit of a challenge for me. On another note I have a great idea for a contest for you. I am going to send it to you in an email!
RE: Urban doesn't want the ice cream truck, Jimmy gets a shiner, and your Thanksgiving Emergency Cards!
When did the fans start beating up the home team players? What is this soccer in Algeria?

RE: The right to remain silent (updated)
The story is definitely intriguing. I do agree that Tiger really doesn't have to explain anything to anyone. However, its not just the media looking for info but the police are now trying to get a warrant for his house and get his medical records from the night of the accident.
RE: Thinking Strategically: How Dan Snyder can best help the Skins in 2010?
It would be scary to see Snyder and even Jerry Jones in an un-capped year!
RE: Black Friday gets the best of Tiger, a return to Philly for AI, and Tebow's amazing eye black.
We need to see Iverson here in MN with the Timberwolves. I mean what's the worst that can happen if he joins the team? They sell more tickets....they make their awful team a little more exciting. It's a no-brainer.
RE: Bourbon Street Beatdown!
Definitely didn't see this coming. Brees for MVP?
RE: Tracy Wins the TSD week #12 Picks Contest!
What is it with the ladies and pick'em pools?! My wife is currently winning her work pick'em pool with 25 people in it...including me. Nice work Tracy!
RE: Jake Delhomme stays consistent, Serena still scares me, and I want some Vince Young pills
Delhomme should have been benched 2 months ago....not sure why they keep putting him out there. I think Steve Smith is silently rooting for this benching to last more than one week.
RE: Drew Brees Scores Big Fantasy Points In Week 12
"...bloodbath against KC"

Part of me would like to point out the massacre the Broncos faced at HOME against the Chargers two weeks ago but I will take the high road and just admit and live with the beating they gave us rather than redirect your comment towards the incident two weeks ago. The incident when a once proud AFC West leader faced the Chargers and got steam-rolled in front of their home fans only to have their dignity and their division title taken away in a span of 60 minutes. As I said, I will take the high road and not bring that little incident up.

RE: Looking Ahead to 2010: 5 Questions That Need Answers for the KC Chiefs
Good post! I think if there is a "can't miss" OL available at our pick we might need to take that chance. Other than that, I agree a safety is a definite need.

RE: Double G Sports NFL Power Rankings: Week 13
Tough to see the Chiefs this far down the list, but as they say "you are what your record is"....I think Bill Parcells said that.
RE: Ninja Assassin: The Anti-Twilight
Probably a renter for me, but if it was "Simple Jack".....well, then we're talking an opening night showing.
RE: NFL Concussion Policy Fantasy Impact
Don't forget about Jamal Lewis....which could be a career-ender.
RE: TSD Week #13 NFL Pick Challenge (Thursday Game)
That's what Pittsburgh said too...
RE: Fantasy Football Week 13
Kurt Warner or Alex Smith?
RE: November Review, December Preview
Nice work Double G!
RE: Firefighters at Tiger Wood's? Crazyness continues.
Even Britney Spears thinks this is getting out of control.
RE: The BCS JV game, Charlie Weis sells out Pete, & Decembers are always the same
And they wonder why coaches leave the Utah's and the Cincinnati's of the world to go and coach at the bigger programs. You can do everything right as a coach, go undefeated and end up playing in the Bob's Furniture World Bowl.
RE: Go Danica! Can Danica Patrick Revive NASCAR?
So, what you're saying is she'll be the female equivalent of Earnhardt Jr.
RE: Why You Should Still Start Tom Brady And The Patriots For Your Fantasy Football Team
Now if they could just get a consistent running game they might be able to add on to that "jewelry".
RE: Signing Erik Bedard Could Make the Royals a Contender in 2010
The Royals have shown their willing to open the wallet a little more over the past two years. They need to make a move or moves like this.
RE: Sick of the Tragedy of Tiger Woods? Go Out and Watch a Movie!
When does Invictus come out?
RE: Heisman is a Hoax, This Popularity Contest Needs an Overhaul
Suh probably would have been my vote and Colt McCoy would have been my next vote.
RE: Chiefs Embarrassment: Kansas City Blacked Out For First Time in 19 Years
It's painful as a Chiefs fan to know the best thing that could come of this game is a loss for draft picks sake.
RE: Christmas Comes Early! The Iron Man 2 Trailer is Here! (Oh, and the Robin Hood Trailer is Too)
This trailer begs me to ask the question of, why hasn't Mickey Rourke been the villain in more movies?
RE: Double G Sports NFL Power Rankings: Week 15
I like everything but the Chiefs being behind Oakland....this is completely unacceptable! Just kidding....like it matters at this point anyway.
RE: Chiefs Defense Is Getting Worse, Clancy Pendergast Needs to Go
This defense is pathetic. Is it a coincedence that the Cardinals defense improved after Pendergast left? No. Giving up that many yards to a backup RB on the Browns at home is inexcusable.
RE: Steelers create 'Giant' hopes.
It will be a tight race for sure. I think if they lose tonight they don't belong in the playoffs.
RE: Breaking News: Jim Zorn fired as house cleaning begins (updated)
Zorn needed to go but I really didn't like how Snyder handled this situation. Why leave the guy on the hook for two months? I don't think he should have been talking to other coaches publicly with the intention of keeping Zorn until the season was over. He should have canned him 6 weeks ago.
