The Yankees have announced the official name for the college football bowl game that will be played at Yankee Stadium this year. New Era Cap Company, Inc has signed a four year deal to be the title sponsor for the game that will be known as the New Era Pinstripe Bowl. A combination of the company and the famous pinstripes the Yankees wear on their home uniforms.

The game has been scheduled for December 30, 2010 at Yankee Stadium. ESPN will televise the contest between the Big East #3 team and the Big 12 # 6 team. ESPN Radio has also secured rights to the game.

While the game is being played on December 30th, both teams will arrive in New York City on December 27th and stay in Manhattan. The Big East team will stay at the Grand Hyatt while the Big 12 participant will stay at the Sheraton New York.

New Era Cap Company will have exclusive headwear licensing rights and non-exclusive apparel licensing rights on merchandise relating to the game.

A variety of events, promotions, and special offers will take place throughout New York City in hopes of making the bowl game experience unforgettable for fans and families of the participating teams.
