- Relief pitcher Brian Bruney and outfielder Eric Hinske are on the Yankees roster, replacing catcher Francisco Cervelli and outfielder Freddy Guzman.

- Game 1 weather forcast:  51°/46° with a 50% chance of rain.

- Phillies LF Raul Ibanez will likely DH in Game 1.

- The pre-game performance by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys has been moved to Game 2 due to the threat of rain tonight.

- First Lady Michelle Obama, Dr. Jill Biden, and other dignitaries will be in attendance at Game 1 to support returning veterans and their families.

- Game 4 will be played in Philadelphia on Sunday night but the Yankees will open up their stadium for any fans that would like to watch the game there.
